Dr. Shakun received his Bachelor of Arts from S.U.N.Y. Binghamton in 1971.
In 1976, he received his DMD (Doctor of Dental Medicine) from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He then did a two year dental internship in the United States Army Medical Corps.
Dr. Shakun has been practicing in the Binghamton area since 1979. In that time, he has built a reputation for excellence.
Throughout his career, Dr. Shakun has done charitable work through organizations such as Donated Dental Services and Himalayan Healthcare. In 1995, he spent three weeks in the backcountry of Nepal providing services to remote villagers.
By continually pursuing advanced education, Dr. Shakun is able to offer his patients the latest in cosmetic and restorative dentistry.
He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Dental Society of the State of New York, the Broome County Dental Society and the Sixth District Dental Society.
Dr. David Salomons graduated from Brandeis University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science. In 1992 he received his DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry.
In 1992, he moved to Binghamton, NY to begin private practice. Since that time Dr. Salomons has diligently upgraded his skills and knowledge through a strong commitment to continuing education.
Dr. Salomons is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Dental Society of the State of New York, the Sixth District Dental Society, and the Broome County Dental Society.
He has served as president of the Broome County Dental Society and was the team dentist for the Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League.
Dr. David Bray graduated from King's College in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and an advanced certificate in molecular genetics. In 1999 he received his DMD (Doctor of Dental Medicine ) from the University of Pennsylvania.
After graduation he completed a general practice residency at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Bray continues to refine his skills and increase his knowledge through continuing education.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Sixth District Dental Society, and the Broome County Dental Society.
Dr. Bray has served as the president of the Broome County Dental Society and chair of the Council of the New Dentist.
Dr. Adam Underwood graduated from Binghamton University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He then went on to receive his Ph.D. from Binghamton University in Microbiology. In 2012 he started his postdoctoral fellowship at Albany Medical College within the Department of Immunology and Microbial Disease.
Dr. Underwood was accepted to dental school the following year. He graduated cum laude from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in the class of 2017. He then earned a Certificate in Advanced Education General Dentistry through the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 2018.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, the International Team for Implantology, and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. Dr. Underwood and his wife both grew up in the area and have 3 children. Through continued training, Dr. Underwood strives to provide the best dental care possible to his hometown.
